    Beaujolais-Villages Rouge is the first appellation in France has to use the term “villages“.

    VINIFICATION NOTES

    The harvest takes place in mid-September. All the grapes are picked manually as the Beaujolais semi carbonic winemaking process requires that bunches be whole. The grapes come from vines of mainly 55 years. Pressing is after 7 days of vatting. Malo-lactic fermentation and aging takes place in vats.

    Serve at 12°C with delicatessen meats, poultry or white meat for example. One of our local aperitif is a “Communard“ where we add crème de Cassis to Beaujolais-Villages in the same style as a Kir.
